Welcome to the Hervey Foundation for Cats. A cat refuge and cat adoption centre that is no-kill, non-profit, and charitable. Donations are graciously appreciated.

The Hervey Foundation for Cats is a place of refuge for cats. We specialize in cat adoption and rescue for those who otherwise would perish: the abandoned, the abused, the sick, the old, the suffering. This foundation is a place of last resort for cats who would otherwise be euthanized. Our foundation is  a no-kill, non-profit, and tax-exempt, private Charitable Foundation.

Marjorie Hervey, Founder & President

Our founder and president, Marjorie Hervey, works for the Foundation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Marjorie has been referred to as the “Mother Theresa” of cats. She is the person who provides the inspiration and drive. There is no doubt that the sick, the homeless, and the neglected felines that she willingly and without reservation devotes herself to, have never felt the warmth, love and compassion that she dotes on every one of them. You will note that the cats are rarely isolated, and they live in a warm familial environment after being acclimatized to live in harmony with our other guests.

Three-Fold Mission

Cat Rescue

We give each cat immediate medical care. Each is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and rehabilitated physically and psychologically. We find loving homes for those who can be adopted. The rest live out their lives in peace and dignity in our family.

Cat Adoption

Finding good, loving, and caring homes for those cats that are adoptable. Being a private Foundation, our screening procedures are strict to ensure that our cats will receive the best care possible.

Education

Educate people to have compassion and respect for all animals. We promote that an animal is a lifetime commitment – we advocate early spaying and neutering as a solution to the overpopulation of animals. In addition, we recommend micro-chipping of all animals as a means of identification should they stray.

Avery

Avery was suffering from major trauma that resulted in multiple hind leg fractures and damage to his diaphragm…

Stephen

Assuming that the lady had brought her cat shopping with her, a while later she was surprised to see the lady leaving the store very quickly without…

Wylie

…while I was out looking around, there was the coyote! I turned and ran for my new home, but he got me! I fought valiantly…

The Foundation

We rescue cats and provide immediate medical care. Each rescue is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and rehabilitated for adoption. We save cats and are always seeking support. Make a charitable contribution today or join us for the next Dinner & Silent Auction Gala.
